The Dragonfly

Here's a picture I took when I went to my dad's grave 2 days prior to my birthday. I was actually telling my dad what's been happening to my life and asking for some advise when this dragonfly suddenly landed on my left hand. It flew away when I moved my had a bit, only to go back as if a rubberband is attached to it. This happened a few more times even before I decided to take pictures of it. Is it my dad telling me something? Unfortunately, I still do not understand what he means...

2008 Birthday

I celebrated my birthday together with my officemates -- teambuilding. At the end of the day, they gave out "special" prizes to unique individuals. Guess what? I won a special prize, called The B Award, because of the drawing I made on one of the activities. (Please see image above.)

Plus, I really think it's my birthday on the said date.

It really pays to have an activity on your birthday.

It's really sad to have my birthday without my dad. I still miss him. I really miss his one-liner jokes. I miss his hugs and kisses on my birthday. I miss his great cooking. I miss him a lot.

Letters Between Mother and Child

Here are correspondences between my dad and his mom while the prior was still in the hospital.


Above is a letter my dad made just as doctors diagnosed that he has to undergo a bypass operation.


Here's a letter my dad made immediately after he was revived from a cardiac arrest. This made us decide in favor of the bypass operation. My dad was a Marian devotee and what he has experienced was something inexplainable.
